Are You a Licensure Program?
Are you a licensure program?
No. We are exam preparation. Your license comes from your state board and it requires a degree from an accredited program, a set number of supervised postgraduate hours, and the board’s approval. We are none of those things and nothing here counts toward any of them.
Do you provide, log or count supervised hours?
No, to all three. Supervision is a professional relationship with a qualified supervisor, and the hours are logged and verified through your board’s process. We have no part in it, we count nothing, and anyone offering to shortcut that part of the path is offering you a problem rather than a service.
Can you issue or recommend me for a license?
No. Licenses are issued by state boards. We issue nothing — no license, no credential, no certificate, no letter, and no credit of any kind.
Do you register me for an exam?
No. Registration, scheduling, the fee and your score report are between you and the body that administers the examination, and your board decides which scores it accepts. We prepare you; they own everything else.
Are you approved by any board or association?
No, and no exam-preparation product in this profession is — there is no such approval to have. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by any licensing body, state board, certification board or professional association. Be careful with any product that implies otherwise.
So why buy this as well as my program?
Because a graduate program teaches you to practice and an examination tests something adjacent to that under a clock. Most people who fail one did the coursework and the hours. The examination is its own problem and it deserves its own preparation.
Is This Therapy? And the Crisis Question
Is this therapy, or clinical advice?
No. It is a study product. It gives no clinical advice, makes no diagnosis and provides no treatment, and nothing in it should be used to make a decision about a real person’s care.
Can it help someone in crisis?
No, and this is the most important answer on this page. AccelaStudy AI is not a crisis service. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 — the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the United States — or go to 988lifeline.org. If there is immediate danger, call 911.
Can I enter a real client's information to practice on?
No, and there is nowhere in the product to do it. Every case, vignette, genogram, note and treatment plan is synthesized for practice. That is a design decision rather than a policy — the capability does not exist, so it cannot be misused.
What about the risk-assessment material?
You can practice the sequence, the duty questions and when they shift, the reporting obligations, and how a safety plan is built — on invented cases, with the protocol or statute behind each step named. That is preparation for an examination and for supervised practice. It is not a substitute for either, and it is not help for anyone.
Do you quote the diagnostic manual?
No. The classification belongs to the American Psychiatric Association — a different organization from the American Psychological Association, which is why neither is ever called a bare “APA” here — and its criteria are not ours to reproduce. Our diagnostic material is written in our own words and cites its source.
The Exams
Which exams are covered?
The four social work licensing exams; the counselor examination in its 2027 form and the clinical mental health case examination; the CPCE™; the MFT national examination; California’s Law and Ethics and clinical exams; the EPPP® and the state psychology law exams; and the addiction credentials including the supervisor one. Plus your state’s jurisprudence exam where it is built.
Which exam does my state require?
It depends on your profession, your license tier and your state, and it changes. A common shape is a national examination plus your state’s own law-and-ethics exam, with a different national exam at the associate and independent tiers. Your board’s licensure page is the authority, and the state page explains how the pieces fit.
Do you cover my state's law exam?
Only if it is named on the list. We do not publish a number and we will not say “every state” before it is true — a count is a claim you cannot check and a list is one you can.
Are these real exam questions?
No, and be wary of anything that offers them. Live items belong to the body, reproducing them violates the agreement you sign when you test, and a candidate found with them has a licensing problem rather than an advantage. Everything here is composed from the published outlines, the codes and the statutes.
The counselor exam changes in July 2027. Which one are you built for?
Both, in the sense that matters: the underlying counseling material does not change on a date. The form does — item count, options, domains and scale — and practice forms are composed to the outline in force on the date you are sitting. If you test in June 2027 you rehearse the old form; in July, the new one.
Is the combined psychology examination covered?
No, and we are not going to imply that it is. A combined form has been specified for a future date and the skills mandate was paused in 2024; building a course for an examination nobody has sat would mean guessing. We cover the examination that exists on your test day.
Retakes, Waits and Moving
What happens if I fail?
You resubscribe for the weeks you need and pick up where you left off, with your history and your weak areas intact. Failing one of these examinations is a common outcome in this profession and it is not a disqualifying one.
How long do I have to wait?
It depends on the examination. The social work exams require a minimum of ninety days between attempts; the counselor examination thirty; the MFT national examination is measured in months and needs a fresh board authorization each time; the psychology examination caps attempts at four in a twelve-month period. All of them charge the full fee again. Confirm the current rule with the body before you plan a date.
Ninety days is a long time. What do I actually do with it?
Not the whole course again, which is what a fixed bank offers you. What helps is the specific thing that cost you the points — the ethics-versus-law boundary, the ordering of interventions, differential diagnosis — drilled until it is not the specific thing any more. That requires a product that remembers your first attempt.
I am moving states. Do I start over?
Not here. The national material carries entirely; what changes is the practice act, the reporting and consent rules, and your new state’s own exam if it has one. Your profile re-composes onto the new jurisdiction and you study the delta. What we cannot tell you is whether your license or your hours transfer — that is your new board’s decision.
Do the compacts mean I can skip an exam?
No. The compacts change where you may practice once licensed; they do not remove a national examination, they do not shorten supervised hours, and in most cases they do not exempt you from a home-state law exam. The counseling compact also excludes associates, which is the detail that surprises people most.
How It Works
What makes this different from a question bank?
Three things. The cases are composed rather than written once, so you cannot exhaust them or pass one by recognizing it. Every judgment key names the standard, statute or protocol that makes it right, instead of asserting a best answer. And it works out what you already know and stops spending your evenings on it — a bank hands every candidate the same items in the same order and calls a percentage a readiness score.
What does "the key names its source" actually mean?
That the rationale for a FIRST/NEXT/BEST item tells you which code standard, statute, or assessment protocol the answer derives from — so you can go and read it. Elsewhere in this category, “best practice” means the author’s judgment, which is why studying a bank so often turns into learning to guess what its writer wanted.
Do you give me a predicted score?
No, deliberately. These examinations are scored on scales nobody outside the board can reproduce, and several are pass/fail rather than scored at all. You get a readiness band with its confidence shown. A product that hands you a number on these exams is inventing it, and on an exam that costs $700 an attempt that is not a harmless flourish.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The web app runs in a modern browser on a phone, tablet or laptop, and there are native apps as well. The written work — notes, treatment plans, the case responses — wants a keyboard for obvious reasons; the rest is comfortable between clients.
Is my work private?
Yes. Zero tracking cookies, zero third-party analytics, zero tracking pixels, and fonts served from our own servers rather than a third-party CDN. Your practice history and your proficiency data are yours.
Is it accessible?
The platform meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA: full keyboard navigation, screen reader support, a high-contrast theme beyond dark mode, reduced-motion support, and text that scales to 200% without breaking. Details on the accessibility page.

Money & Timing
What does it cost?
$39/mo month to month, or $31/mo billed annually at $372 — which saves $96 and is cheaper from month ten onward. There is no premium tier above it and no purchase per exam. The pricing page has the full breakdown.
When does it launch?
Monday, July 19, 2027. Nothing is charged before then, and the waitlist is how you find out which states opened on day one.
Can I cancel?
Any time, in one click. Paid access runs to the end of the period you already paid for and nothing renews. Switching off between exams is expected here — the gap between the associate exam and the clinical exam is years.
Are exam fees included?
No. They are paid to the body that administers the examination and they are substantial in this profession — from around $230 for a social work exam to roughly $700 for the psychology one, payable again on every attempt. Confirm the current figure when you register.
Do you publish a pass rate?
No — not ours, not a body’s published figures, and not a competitor’s advertised one. We have no candidates yet, so any rate about our own would be invented. The published data in this profession is the subject of a live argument about the examinations themselves, and quoting the part that flatters a marketing page while omitting the rest would be a selective use of somebody else’s research. If you want those numbers, get them from the body directly.
Is there a pass guarantee?
No. We do not offer one and we are not going to imply one. Nobody can guarantee an outcome on an examination they do not write, and a guarantee in this category is usually a set of conditions you are unlikely to satisfy rather than a promise.
